A New Day

I didn't have what I wanted to make the things I wanted so I played a while with a couple of bits of scrap,  getting the feel of tools and metal again.

Lil Book

I made this lil book as a tester to get the sizes for making real ones.

 It is about an inch by a half inch and has 6 hand made paper pages, spiral bound, all wrapped up inside a copper stamped front and back cover.

 I think it will be lovely in various copper patina colours and flamed colours as well as in sterling , polished or patina. Its not much but its cute and the first thing. It's also a decent template to make proper ones with.

Copper Hat Pin

Following on from that I realized it has been a long and rocky road. When I lost the ability to create it went very hard  on me and I fell into self pity mode almost from the day. It feels good to have the desire and the ability back. If I am not creating ...I am lost.

Silver Doodles

The next possible day available for me to to work,  I designed and made a rough pattern in copper and pearl, for a hat pin I want to produce in silver and spinel. And I cut up some silver and hammered  to see what would come of it. nothing much, just a few pendant and earring bases to add to   and decorate later  and a bunch of silver stack rings. It has however lead to many ideas and designs swimming around my head.

 And I am ready to kick this thing up the arse!
